The canine shoulder joint’s size and anatomy make it particularly suitable to arthroscopic procedures.

Arthroscopy, laporoscopy and thorascopy are minimally invasive techniques which allow for greater accuracy, flexibility and visibility of joints or interior anatomy. In addition, patients undergoing these procedures typically have shorter recovery times and often may go home the same day.
Arthroscopy is the most advanced procedure for both diagnosis and surgery in dogs with chronic lameness, joint pain or instability and swelling. It is also a valuable diagnostic tool following abnormal radiographic findings.
