Your Appointment

Initial appointment

Your pet’s initial appointment will last about an hour and a half. Please observe the following guidelines when preparing for your visit:
  • Do not feed your pet the day of your appointment, but do continue to provide water.
  • Unless otherwise instructed, continue any medications as usual.
  • If your family veterinarian has not already forwarded your pet’s records to us, please bring all medications, pertinent medical records, radiographs, diagnostic and lab reports with you to your appointment.

Payment

Before admittance for diagnostic procedures or surgery, we require partial payment equal to half the figure quoted in a written estimate. This estimate, created at the time of your initial consultation, allows you to be fully informed before treatment is provided.

It is our policy that payment in full is due when patients are released to the care of their families. Cash, debit cards, checks, and major credit cards are accepted. Appointments cancelled without 24-hours notice will be subject to a late cancellation fee.

Follow-up Care

After your initial consultation, and as your pet’s case progresses, Dr. Dassler will stay in contact with your veterinarian. Dr. Dassler may require post-operative evaluation of your pet, but follow-up care will be managed by your regular veterinarian whenever possible.

We understand that dealing with any medical condition for your animal companion is difficult, and we hope to make the process of seeing a specialist as comfortable as possible for both you and your pet.
